MOV : മൂപ്പനായ ഞാൻ സത്യത്തിൽ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന പ്രിയ ഗായൊസിന്നു എഴുതുന്നതു:
KJV : The elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.
YLT : The Elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth!

MOV : പ്രിയനേ, നിന്റെ ആത്മാവു ശുഭമായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ സകലത്തിലും ശുഭമായും സുഖമായും ഇരിക്കേണം എന്നു ഞാൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
YLT : beloved, concerning all things I desire thee to prosper, and to be in health, even as thy soul doth prosper,
RV : Beloved, I pray that in all things thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
RSV : Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in health; I know that it is well with your soul.

MOV : സഹോദരന്മാർ വന്നു, നീ സത്യത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിന്റെ സത്യത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറകയാൽ ഞാൻ അത്യന്തം സന്തോഷിച്ചു.
KJV : For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
YLT : for I rejoiced exceedingly, brethren coming and testifying of the truth in thee, even as thou in truth dost walk;
RV : For I rejoiced greatly, when brethren came and bare witness unto thy truth, even as thou walkest in truth.
RSV : For I greatly rejoiced when some of the brethren arrived and testified to the truth of your life, as indeed you do follow the truth.

ERVEN : Some believers came and told me about the truth in your life. They told me that you continue to follow the way of truth. This made me very happy.

MOV : എന്റെ മക്കൾ സത്യത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു എന്നു കേൾക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാൾ വലിയ സന്തോഷം എനിക്കില്ല.
KJV : I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
YLT : greater than these things I have no joy, that I may hear of my children in truth walking.
RV : Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.
RSV : No greater joy can I have than this, to hear that my children follow the truth.
ASV : Greater joy have I none than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.

ERVEN : It always gives me the greatest joy when I hear that my children are following the way of truth.

MOV : പ്രിയനേ, നീ സഹോദരന്മാർക്കും വിശേഷാൽ അതിഥികൾക്കും വേണ്ടി അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നതിൽ ഒക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തത കാണിക്കുന്നു.
KJV : Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;
YLT : Beloved, faithfully dost thou do whatever thou mayest work to the brethren and to the strangers,
RV : Beloved, thou doest a faithful work in whatsoever thou doest toward them that are brethren and strangers withal;
RSV : Beloved, it is a loyal thing you do when you render any service to the brethren, especially to strangers,
ASV : Beloved, thou doest a faithful work in whatsoever thou doest toward them that are brethren and strangers withal;
ESV : Beloved, it is a faithful thing you do in all your efforts for these brothers, strangers as they are,
ERVEN : My dear friend, it is good that you continue to help the believers. They are people you don't even know.

MOV : അവർ സഭയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ നിന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അവരെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യോഗ്യമാകുംവണ്ണം യാത്ര അയച്ചാൽ നന്നായിരിക്കും.
KJV : Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:
YLT : who did testify of thy love before an assembly, whom thou wilt do well, having sent forward worthily of God,
RV : who bare witness to thy love before the church: whom thou wilt do well to set forward on their journey worthily of God:
RSV : who have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey as befits God's service.

ESV : who testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God.
ERVEN : They told the church about the love you have. Please help them to continue their trip. Help them in a way that will please God.

MOV : തിരുനാമം നിമിത്തമല്ലോ അവർ ജാതികളോടു ഒന്നും വാങ്ങാതെ പുറപ്പെട്ടതു.
KJV : Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
YLT : because for [His] name they went forth, nothing receiving from the nations;
RV : because that for the sake of the Name they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.
RSV : For they have set out for his sake and have accepted nothing from the heathen.

ERVEN : They went on their trip to serve Christ. They did not accept any help from people who are not believers.

MOV : ആകയാൽ നാം സത്യത്തിന്നു കൂട്ടുവേലക്കാർ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരെ സല്കരിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു.
KJV : We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
YLT : we, then, ought to receive such, that fellow-workers we may become to the truth.
RV : We therefore ought to welcome such, that we may be fellow-workers with the truth.
RSV : So we ought to support such men, that we may be fellow workers in the truth.

MOV : സഭെക്കു ഞാൻ ഒന്നെഴുതിയിരുന്നു: എങ്കിലും അവരിൽ പ്രധാനിയാകുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ദിയൊത്രെഫേസ് ഞങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടാക്കുന്നില്ല.
KJV : I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.
YLT : I did write to the assembly, but he who is loving the first place among them -- Diotrephes -- doth not receive us;

MOV : അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ വന്നാൽ അവൻ ഞങ്ങളെ ദുർവ്വാക്കു പറഞ്ഞു ശകാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി അവന്നു ഓർമ്മ വരുത്തും. അവൻ അങ്ങിനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു പോരാ എന്നുവെച്ചു താൻ സഹോദരന്മാരെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാതിരിക്കുന്നതു മാത്രമല്ല, അതിന്നു മനസ്സുള്ളവരെ വിരോധിക്കയും സഭയിൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
KJV : Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth [them] out of the church.
YLT : because of this, if I may come, I will cause him to remember his works that he doth, with evil words prating against us; and not content with these, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and those intending he doth forbid, and out of the assembly he doth cast.
RV : Therefore, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he doeth, prating against us with wicked words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and them that would he forbiddeth, and casteth {cf15i them} out of the church.
RSV : So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, prating against me with evil words. And not content with that, he refuses himself to welcome the brethren, and also stops those who want to welcome them and puts them out of the church.
ASV : Therefore, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his works which he doeth, prating against us with wicked words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and them that would he forbiddeth and casteth them out of the church.
ESV : So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.
ERVEN : When I come, I will talk with him about what he is doing. He lies and says evil things about us, but that is not all. He refuses to welcome and help the believers who travel there. And he will not let anyone else help them. If they do, he makes them leave the church.

MOV : പ്രിയനേ, നന്മയല്ലാതെ തിന്മ അനുകരിക്കരുതു; നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ദൈവത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ളവൻ ആകുന്നു; തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ദൈവത്തെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല.
KJV : Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
YLT : Beloved, be not thou following that which is evil, but that which is good; he who is doing good, of God he is, and he who is doing evil hath not seen God;
RV : Beloved, imitate not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
RSV : Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen God.

MOV : ദെമേത്രിയൊസിന്നു എല്ലാവരാലും സത്യത്താൽ തന്നേയും സാക്ഷ്യം ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു; ഞങ്ങളും സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നു; ഞങ്ങളുടെ സാക്ഷ്യം സത്യം എന്നു നീ അറിയുന്നു.
KJV : Demetrius hath good report of all [men,] and of the truth itself: yea, and we [also] bear record; and ye know that our record is true.
YLT : to Demetrius testimony hath been given by all, and by the truth itself, and we also -- we do testify, and ye have known that our testimony is true.
RV : Demetrius hath the witness of all {cf15i men}, and of the truth itself: yea, we also bear witness; and thou knowest that our witness is true.
RSV : Demetrius has testimony from every one, and from the truth itself; I testify to him too, and you know my testimony is true.

MOV : എഴുതി അയപ്പാൻ പലതും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു എങ്കിലും മഷിയും തൂവലുംകൊണ്ടു എഴുതുവാൻ എനിക്കു മനസ്സില്ല.
KJV : I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:
YLT : Many things I had to write, but I do not wish through ink and pen to write to thee,

MOV : വേഗത്തിൽ നിന്നെ കാണ്മാൻ ആശിക്കുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ നമുക്കു മുഖാമുഖമായി സംസാരിക്കാം
KJV : But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.
YLT : and I hope straightway to see thee, and mouth to mouth we shall speak. Peace to thee! salute thee do the friends; be saluting the friends by name.
